Motor Protection Relays
The MIP-6 monitors deterioration in motor insulation level for both low and medium voltage motors. It measures the motor's insulation resistance to ground and displays the actual and average highs and lows along a predefined period of time.
The MVP-3000 is ideal for high voltage motors, large low voltage motors, and applications where full protection and advanced warning is crucial, such as in the process and chemical industries. Monitoring three phase currents, voltages and up to 10 temperature inputs it provides the most comprehensive motor protection package.

A comprehensive protection device is required to accurately create a Thermal Model for the motor to run safely up to its limits. This relay should protect the motor from abnormal conditions in the power supply, motor and cable faults as well as operator malfunctions.

The MPC-6 monitors one voltage and three phase currents (true RMS line currents are measured at a sampling rate of 0.5 ms). The MPC-6 calculates the true RMS ground fault current by summing up the three phase currents. For small motors, if only ground fault is to be measured, it is possible to connect it to "I1". The MPC-6 monitors a single temperature (RTD or PTC/NTC Thermistor) input. Overall, the MPC-6 provides a comprehensive protection and control package.
